Cycle Event Support (CES)
- I offer technical support focused on doing our best to keep your entrants cycling should they have any issues. I can resolve most common on ride issues relating to punctures and broken chains. I will do my best with any other kind of mechanical issues, but can not always resolve every type of problem that could occur.
- I typically do not carry spare bikes for entrants to use.
- When offering mobile on course support, I can transport up to two people at a time back to the event HQ should they not be able to continue.
- I ask that pre-event information includes asking entrants to ensure that their bike is in a good working order, that they carry puncture repair equipment with them, and that they bring a small amount of cash or a payment card in case they need to purchase tubes etc... off of me.
- If I use parts from my own stock then this can either be charged back to the event organiser, or directly to the entrant.
- My CES is focused on offering mechanic support. I typically do not take on any further responsibilities relating to event logistics (including set up and take down). If this is also required then please let me know so I can include it in our quote.
Dr. Bike Clinic (DBC)
- The fundamental aim of a DBC is to safety check the bikes that are brought along and issue the owner with a safety report. The aim is not to service the bikes, nor to undertake any major repairs. Checks made are limited to the visual inspections possible - without taking any part of the bike apart.
- I take great pride in the quality of my work, and in promoting safe cycling. I retain oversight of my workload to ensure I work to a high standards at all times. In advance of working with you I can provide planning frameworks so you are clear on what is possible within any timeframes involved.
- I will only undertake small repairs on bikes that will be safe to ride on completion of that work. If a bike is unsafe, and I do not possess the time to resolve the issue(s), then I will not repair the bike at all. Equally I will only fit parts supplied by the client or the owner of the bike - if they are fit for purpose and fully compatible.
- Due to what is reasonably possible within the context of a DBC the following types of issues can not be dealt with.
Issues with electric bike motor systems.
Issues with tubeless tyre set ups, beyond topping up the tyre pressure.
We will not work on any form of electric bike that has been modified by the owner.
Complaints procedure
- I work exceptionally hard to ensure customers are happy with the quality of my work. However, in the unlikely event you have a complaint then please do get in touch. Please email me at -
